thelaptop is a indeed a gaming laptop with the proper spec but the cooling is not and a shared heatsink for the cpu and gpu.a cooling pad wont help.maybe it shave max of 1-3c.u can go ahead and keep the boost on which will push your cpu temp to 90c and your gpu higher.the draw back is frame drops when the temp reach 90c or worst shorting your hardware lifespan.also take note

Asfor cooling, even here I saw that all laptop review, even those advertised with dedicated cooling innovation (like Legion 7i with their vapor chamber), will hit 90 celcius and more during heavy gaming load. In the end most people here will undervolt then limit the turbo clock with throttle stop for intel laptop, or disable the turbo boost
Ifigured out one way to disable it is to switch power settings to energy saver but that brings my clock speeds down to 2.2 Ghz. Stock cpu speed is listed at 3.8 Ghz. Thanks for the help. -soup.
